Pros
I've been with BrightRoll for 4+ yrs now and the company has evolved at a rapid pace. Despite the changes, the culture and values have remained intact. BrightRoll still offers numerous opportunities to nurture one's career and personal growth. BrightRoll as an engineering and technology company values contributors who are intelligent, willing to pick up new technologies, and collaborate on design. Every hire that I've worked with during my time here has always taught me something that I've not known before and BrightRoll still continues to hire great people who are smart and want to see tasks through. BrightRoll compensates engineers well and provides a number of perks in house to keep engineers happy. This ranges from monthly beer brewing off sites to free food and even massages. Our internal talent team spends countless hours with engineers and engineering management to ensure that we always hire individuals who embody the BrightRoll culture and values. The management team is strong in both values, conviction, and willingness to innovate in our space. They strive to consistently remain transparent while continuing to push the company forward.
Cons
As engineering grows, we still struggle with finding consistent processes in composing project teams and maintaining strong levels of collaboration. This is mainly due to transitioning from a small engineering team to a geo-located engineering/product/operations group.
