A Company That DOESN'T Care - Customer Service Representative Bridgestone Americas Employee Review

Pros

Okay pay rate, okay food

Cons

If I could give negative stars, I would. I was given an occurrence due to the company not receiving my call-off voicemail. My personal phone records say I was on the phone for 18 seconds, which was MORE than enough time to leave a message. My husband, who worked there with me, witnessed me leave said message. CFNA did not care one bit because their phone system is "never wrong," and they couldn't give me the benefit of the doubt. My own supervisor wouldn't even fight for me in this regard. When I asked if I could use my personal emergency time to go home due to being upset, I was told no because "I was needed on the floor." There was no high call volume and the company couldn't take the hit of having one employee go home 5 hours early, UNPAID.

Pros

Stable work - buses on the road every day, so tire service tends to be more predictable than some other retail work. Mechanical experience - You'll gain experience with heavy-duty vehicles, commercial tires, fleet operations, safety procedures, and potentially CDL-related skills. Physically demanding - Frequent lifting of tires, pushing heavy equipment, bending, kneeling, and working around large vehicles are regular parts of the job.

Cons

Repetitive labor - Much of the work involves mounting, balancing, and repairing large tires repeatedly throughout a shift. Safety risks - Working with heavy commercial tires and transit vehicles requires strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
