Pros
First-hand experience to what it means to work at a start-up in early stages of funding. Young team with an average age of 25 that you will bond with immediately due to the expectations of the job.
Cons
Zero boundary between work and personal life. You are reminded that you owe the company 100% and more of your time, effort, and attention. The husband and wife founders have zero emotional maturity and are quick to cry, yell, scream and blame anyone besides their own poor actions and decisions. There is no safe space to share feelings of negativity or desire for change. The entire original founding team is gone and replaced with young professionals who are new to the work world and have 0 clue what a healthy work environment is. In some instances, people announced their resignation and the founders quickly fired them, to not pay out two weeks, any owed bonuses, etc. Someone was fired for working in another state, even though it was a 'free to work wherever' policy. There was no transparency on why some left in a moments notice, which fosters a constant state of fear for your job. Fear tactics and paranoia are at play in every corner. The only positive reviews here are to boost ratings and written by those who are still employed, and most likely forced to be posted. The writing is on the wall.
