Pros

Fabulous team to work with. I felt totally part of the company the minute I began. Great client, hard working team but rewarded well. Lovely offices. Comfortable and airy rooms. Creative and also professional at all levels to all employees. Really hope to go back- and it’s rare to feel that way.

Cons

Not enough sandwich shops locally to run to.

Pros

I’ve done a few work placements before, and this one really stood out. I appreciated how varied my role was, from packing PR boxes to writing press releases and helping with smaller hands-on tasks. It meant I was able to switch things up a lot rather than doing the same thing every day, which kept it really engaging. I learnt a lot while I was there, especially getting a better understanding of how PR works day to day, and it was really interesting to see how everything runs behind the scenes. The team were always there to help if I needed it, but also trusted me to get on with things independently, which I really valued. One of the highlights for me was being able to come up with ideas that could be used in a future team brainstorm. I found that so exciting, and it made the experience feel really rewarding. I really enjoyed feeling like I was contributing to something meaningful, while also trying to think in the style of the company and come up with ideas for what PR stunts would work well. It’s still one of my favourite internships. The company culture also seems amazing, everyone gets along really well in a professional environment and people genuinely seem happy to be there. It feels like a supportive place where staff are valued, with things like team drinks and lunches adding to the overall environment.

Cons

As it was quite a short placement, it sometimes felt like there wasn’t enough time to fully get stuck in or make a lasting impression, as I was only there for a few days across the two weeks. I would have liked more time to build stronger connections with the team and continue developing my experience further. There were no major downsides overall, and I’m really pleased to have the opportunity to return in May to gain more experience.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback — we’re really glad you enjoyed your placement with us! It’s great to hear you valued the variety of work, felt supported by the team, and had the chance to contribute ideas. That’s exactly the kind of experience we aim to create. We completely understand your point on the shorter timeframe, as we are only in the office 3 days a week, we try to make this work for the team and the student - you're always welcome back!
