Pros
Brave Acorn is by far the most supportive, resourcing, and solid workplace I have ever been associated with . The owner is communicative, clear with expectations, and so very kind. She authentically celebrates clinicians (little acknowledgments for workplace anniversaries, delights in clinician successes with clients, etc). She encourages clinicians to deepen their knowledge while also modeling this (she's knowledgeable in many modalities and continues to grow). We have weekly staff consultations in which one can present a case and get feedback/support. This is, truly, the first place I have worked that I feel values my FULL self. I believe the team at Brave Acorn sees the benefits (for clients and staff) of creating an authentic space for each person to be themselves. It's hella rad! :)
Cons
Brave Acorn is growing - there are normal growing and learning processes afoot. The owner is transparent about what's unfolding with the business and invites feedback from clinicians on a regular basis. However, these does mean being adaptable might be more needed than at a more established group practice.
