Pros

Coworkers were, overall, a nice group of people. Management was usually cool with requests for time off, depending on your position there. Missed rush hour traffic because of the ¢rappy hours. Owners rarely fire anyone (employees quit first).

Cons

The truth is: Unless you are one of the family members, prepare to be horribly micromanaged by senior management (owner/WIFE) who know nothing about your job. You will be unapologetically insulted, scolded, blamed, and embarrassed in front of your colleagues. Another fact: The only original employees who are still at BMr are the family members and one other who works nights and doesn't have to interact with senior management as much. You can trust the many glassdoor reviews that comment on the high rate of turnover! The hours seriously cut into family time... 9:30am to 6:30pm, unless of course you are dead weight family, in which case you make your own hours and can sit on the phone talking to buddies about cars for as long as you want. Mandatory 1 hour unpaid lunch, again, unless you are family.

Fortunately BrainMaster has not had a Web Designer for over 2 years. Thus we can only assume this review is a duplicate from a former employee that has posted a previous negative review. Some info is correct such as the hours 9:30-6:30 which is due to serving both an east and west coast client base. It is a small business and owned by three family members. High turnover is subjective, approximately 20 employees in over 20 years in business. Many that have gone on to improve their career through the experience garnered at BrainMaster. We strive to improve the workplace as we continue to grow as a company. We do demand hard work and accountability. Those that are up for the challenge, strive.

Pros

The culture at BMT is a very supportive one, you are expected to work hard here but you are given all the tools needed to be successful. The people honestly are really great and like anything the more you put into the job the more you will get out of it. The products the company offers are valued very highly by many in the medical field, and once you understand the ins and outs of the products you will enjoy talking to existing and prospective clients about them. The management team work hard to involve the wider team in the direction of the business, but you must be realistic that ultimately most key decisions will be taken from the top. The business has worked hard in recent years to provide development opportunities for the team at large and I know I’ve been super appreciative of their efforts from a personal and a professional standpoint.

Cons

If you work at BMT then you will be expected to put in the necessary time and effort to familiarize yourself thoroughly with the products. If you don’t have any interest in doing that, then this isn’t a good fit for you. **I want to state clearly for any trolls out there that absolutely no one asked me to write this review. I chose to do it as, like most people at BMT, I feel passionately about the company.
