Historically, this company built a strong, employee-first culture over many years. Unfortunately, that positive environment is no longer present, particularly within the Accounting team.
Cons
Toxic leadership & favourtism: The new global Accounting leadership replaced the positive culture with micro management, self promotion and a highly political environment. Rewards here only rely on favourtism rather than your actual merit or tenure. False promises about hybrid work: Global controller always disrupts off hours with weekend emails and he revoked our permanent WFH agreements for a superficial, forced return to office. Employees are asked to come to office 4 days a week giving 1 day WFH just to show it as Hybrid model. Unsafe logistics & cost cutting: Employees doing late shifts (like till midnight) are denied safe door to door cabs, and sometimes we are forced to split shifts and commute mid-evening just to save the company money. Hidden layoffs: Managment lays off people time and again but those are forced resignations rather then actual layoffs just to make the numbers look good. Powerless HR & rough Exits: HD doesnt have power to keep the departments in control even though the employes have raised concerns with the HR multiple times on multiple aspecs. Global Controller refuses early reliving or notice period buyouts even after the knowledge transfer is fully completed.
