Pros
Most of the counselors at the Brooklyn office were very dedicated and passionate about helping students. There was a strong camaraderie among counselors.
Cons
Leadership has no idea what they're doing. They constantly ask for feedback but then get upset when it's not positive. Some people in higher positions within the organizations seem to take things personally and you feel penalized for voicing your opinion. Managers are not promoted on merit but mostly based on years at the organization and their likability. There was constant changing policies with no explanation. There are HR issues that are glossed over that would have legal implications at other organizations. And if you are a person with several years of relevant experience and/or a relevant advanced degree, you will probably feel undervalued and underpaid.
