Pros
(1)Employee Discount-10-35%, (2)Experience-specifically Bose does a really great job training you on how to sell including properly assessing what a customer is looking to buy and recommending the right product while building trust and confidence in the product, (3)Experience-company’s products have solid reputation which equates to positive potential buyers which in tern helps sales people gain more confidence as sales people
Cons
(1)The hourly pay rate is horrible! There are many other companies that are similar that pay better. (2)The company’s structure-the stores are run as separate entities even though they are owned by the company. This means if a store is unprofitable then it probably will get shut down. (3)UNREALISTIC GOALS-the company sets unrealistic goals and the formula keeps changing almost every year. In my 11 years with the company this formula changed at least 6 times. (4)INCENTIVES & REWARDS-in the early 2000s the company gave each employee a free product once per year as a Xmas gift. Also, the company held contests and stores and/or employees that won/or met the goals would be rewarded with money and/or free Bose products. Little by little corporate took everything away. No more incentives and no more prizes.
