Pros
Leaving to find another job with better gear
Cons
Management and allocators are completely incompetent, trucks and equipment are not up to scratch and drivers are required to be interstate with trucks that have no working fridge, bunk cooling, and sometimes interior lights. Trailers are always needing repairs to be done before they can be taken on the road, or fail whilst on the road, workshop will not repair enough gear as they don’t have enough time for repairs to get done due to the amount of old gear. Very high kms on everything sometimes 30 year old trailers with brake boosters hanging off. Quite easily the worst company that I have ever worked for.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Worried constantly about equipment failure and property damage
Always breaking down or leaving early for a changeover with no driver coming to meet you so your stuck on the side of the road when you would rather have the time at home which is something you don't get enough of.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
17 hour days with most being spent waiting to get allocated trailers or repairs to equipment or wait to meet change over drivers.
