Pros
4 days a week of work.
Cons
I chose to leave Booster Fuels because, in my experience, the workplace culture had become increasingly toxic and mismanaged. During my time there, I observed what felt like clear favoritism, with certain employees routinely receiving the easiest routes and the largest monthly bonuses, despite the company promoting a performance-based system that, in my view, did not operate as advertised. I also experienced situations that I perceived as discriminatory, including an incident where several coworkers and I reported a racist remark made by another employee; however, management appeared to defend the individual involved, which left many of us feeling unsupported. Additionally, I felt that new hires were often pushed excessively hard, at times being encouraged to work through breaks or take on unreasonable workloads. When it came to my annual performance review, I received what I believed to be an inaccurate and unfair evaluation resulting in an extremely small raise. When I disputed this, upper management explicitly acknowledged to me that the review had been influenced by emotion, admitted that it was unfair, and told me they had escalated the issue to HR to correct it. Based on these cumulative experiences, I ultimately concluded that the company’s leadership and internal practices did not align with a fair or healthy work environment, and I made the decision to move on.
