Pros

-startup -fun, young atmosphere -company buys lunch every day -very cool product, exciting value prop

Cons

-elitist and judgmental -The company is very young. The people are smart, but there's a huge lack of life and career experience -Not sure if they still do it, but when I was there they would post an announcement in slack every time a person was termed, to publicly announce why that person wasn't good enough and is no longer there, and to remind everyone of what they shouldn't do (felt like bullying) -They emphasize hiring for culture, but fail to recognize that diversity exists beyond people looking differently or coming from a variety of demographics, but actually encompasses the ability to think differently too. They are at risk of hiring a bunch of people who all think the same way, which sadly kills diversity.

Pros

Best company I have worked in. Great values that come through. Really like the autonomy to be a pioneer and the excellent standards we have. I like moving fast and innovating and solving new problems to deliver real benefit to consumers and businesses.

Cons

The pace is fast and we are constantly changing to keep pace with our innovation. That's not for everybody.

Pros

You will meet some of the hardest working people, you will grow your connections- Most of these Bolt members end up moving up to more established companies like Stripe, Shopify, Coinbase etc so when you inevitable leave- you will have a connection at one of these other companies!

Cons

The ceo pushed all newcomers to Contract instead of full-time to "prove themselve" when in reality, they need these individual contributors but can't afford them. There was a promise to move from contract to full time which never seemed to be the plan, they end up firing contractors under the excuse of budget cuts only to turn around and repost the position a couple weeks later. They have NOT paid contractors in over 2 months and have been giving the run around "Targeting this week.. end of next week..." these are peoples salaries and they are dragging this on. Leadership and Ryan Breslow have gone completely silent. This is on par with Bolts standards, these are the exact answers we provide to merchants when they are waiting on solutions from us because we've hit our bandwidth. it is clear as day that the business is heading to closure, why else would they be stalling paying salaries.
