Pros

1. US leadership is good and many time they are mislead buy the managers for Boeing India. but I think they too know some background how they work. 2. Most of the US leads are really supportive and encouraging.

Cons

1. BIE group has really biased leadership, in which they always encourage the people that they are close to them, and there no appreciation for the talented employees. 2. Managers grow much faster than the low level engineers, (5 years experience engineer might get promoted after 4 to 5 years from Level 1 to Level 4, but in the same time Manager will shift minimum 1 to 2 levels,) this says there is no value for the Technical side in Boeing. 3. Employee referral portals wont work in Boeing, they are just name sake. (internally they decide and take them, all fixed recruitment) 4. HR & first level manager always says your salaries are much better compared to market, but its not true in any ways, I don't know which market they are refereeing to? for the same position Airbus offers 40 to 50 % more. 5. They don't care about your salary until you putdown your papers, after that they will come to you and say, we can match to your expectations, you are really important to us...bla bla... 6. No value for long term staying employee, If a person joins Boeing 10 years ago, for the same skills and experience, new hire will get at-least 40 to 60% more,. just think about of the value to old employees.

Pros

Easy going, nice benefits, free further education (masters/PhD). Great for an engineer starting out who needs to dip their feet in the pool of engineering for a few years and to get a great 401(k) match at the start of your career (compounding growth). Great for late stage career due to the benefits and solid enough pay in a low cost of living area

Cons

pay-scale lagging, no emphasis on learning new things, no punishment for people who are bad at their job. After working for 4 years, I feel like I should have jumped ship after 2. I haven't been given meaningful work that really challenges me in a while. Now I feel pigeonholed into staying because I have enough years of experience that I really should be considered senior, but I haven't been given work that reflects what I senior engineer should be capable of. Now I'm trying to jump ship before it's really too late. If I stay here another 2 years I think I will be genuinely unemployable and will have to stay at this company forever.
