Pros

I worked for Bluehouse Group as a freelancer on marketing projects last year, and the timing and fit was right for me to join as full time marketing director in January 2017. After being solo for many years, I enjoy the team camaraderie, culture where everyone's voice is heard (not full of egos), latitude to take on projects of interest so long as you can prove their value, and really good people to work with. The ability to work remotely was a key feature for me, else it wouldn't work for where I live and my lifestyle. Very flexible work environment and being a values-driven group were biggest reasons I joined this team. So far, so good!

Cons

I would like to see a few more perks like a gym membership and/or shower in our office so we can workout during the day.

Pros

My internship at Bluehouse Group was an awesome experience. The team here is made up of skillful and creative thinkers who are a lot of fun to work with. The projects I worked on were interesting, high-quality, and often community-oriented, and I learned a lot while working on them under the mentorship of the team. I started this internship with little experience in web development and none in the industry, and I've come out of it feeling very prepared to work as a software developer full-time.

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but my experience was largely self-directed. I often had only weekly check-ins with the team and occasional one-on-ones with other devs on a project. This is a great opportunity to build skills in self-learning, task prioritization, and communication, which I enjoyed, but you have to be up for it.
