Pros

There used to be some very talented and friendly people that worked here

Cons

There are almost too many to list. This company is primarily made up of 4 senior leaders that everyone reports to in one way or another. 3 of them are incredibly problematic. The CEO needs to be removed from his position as fast as possible. He lacks anything resembling leadership and he cannot make tough decisions. In particular, the decision to let people go that are violating so many work place and human resource codes of conduct. He has let his senior leadership team bully, berate, gaslight, and push out countless former and current employees. Not only professionally bullying, but personal as well. Constant attacks on individual contributors. People are leaving in droves and the business continues to become weaker. Every single talk with a customer is riddled with frustration and hopelessness because none of their issues are being resolved. One person in particular that controls the product is easily the worst person I’ve ever worked with and is constantly lying to customers about why things aren’t happening, when he is the sole reason it isn’t happening. He is also listed as the reason for numerous employees leaving. I would not be surprised to hear that this ship has finally sunk in less than two years. I’d imagine the investors are panicking about how they’re going to make a very small return, if any return at all. In this case a few bad apples have spoiled the bunch and it shows. I feel sorry for anybody that steps foot in the place, but especially if it’s under the current leadership. Probably the worst place I’ve ever been employed and I couldn’t be happier about leaving and never speaking to anyone on the leadership team again.

BlueVolt Response

BlueVolt is now under new leadership: a team made up of seven people from different departments across the company, with heavy involvement from one of the original founders. With this new team in place, the company is striving toward a service-oriented culture, both internally and externally, which includes a commitment to focusing on employee and customer health. There are no more false promises, and issues with customers are being quickly resolved. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Gratefully, Tom Rangner VP of Operations

Pros

BlueVolt has been around for a while but kind of feels like a startup with the immense amount of collaboration that goes on. Really awesome team, leadership is great, continuous improvement is a priority.

Cons

There is a lot of prospecting.

Pros

The team here is honestly one of my favorite things. The work space is pretty collaborative and everyone works together to solve problems. There's been a recent lean into learning and using AI tools and also a focus on improving training and helping people meet career goals over time.

Cons

I mean the challenge is that I feel like the CEO means well but sometimes comes across as abrupt. He's the type of person that expects everyone to take charge of a project or workflow in their own way.
