Cons
● Lowest paid in the industry
● Restricted working environments. - you work in the neighbourhood you live in and you are absolutely not allowed to cross over to work in another. Transferring is almost impossible to do.
● Neighbourhood leader with absolutely no social work experience. So focused on following the rule book that environment is extremely toxic and client care suffers.
● N/L is very well versed in walking the line of legally accepted bullying and harassment!.
● Absolutely NO support from HR, very difficult to even get in contact with them.
● You are reprimanded if you seek permission to perform a welfare check on a very sick client prior to your shift starting.
● Forced to perform D/A's (domestic assistance-cleaning) in the hottest part of the day, during severe heat waves in summer for clients who REFUSE to allow you to have the air-conditioner and sometimes even the fans on!!. 2 staff members got heat stroke, 1 collapsed N/L reprimanded staff for turning client's aircon on themselves ,client hid the remotes and p/c's were forced to work without adequate air flow/cooling between 9-3pm when the temperature inside can reach 38-40°c.
