Pros
Very casual environment. Could practically wear pajamas if you wanted to. If you're in sales and a client comes by, obviously you'll want to dress accordingly, but other than that. Most of the people are pretty cool and fun to chat with.
Cons
- Absolutely no room for growth unless you want to move to Pittsburgh and work at Dick's Sporting Goods HQ, but that won't probably happen, either.
- Don't talk too much about personal/life stuff, because it'll come around and bite you later. Same with any dissatisfaction you may have.
- It felt like high school sometimes. Either people talking/gossiping about you behind your back, or people being obnoxious. Most employees are right out of college, so there's still a mindset there.
- Being open and honest gets you nowhere, probably will get you in trouble instead.
- Brown-nosing gets you promoted, while trying to express areas of concern and needed improvement will get you let go.
- If you're the only one that does what you do for the company, be prepared to feel very under-appreciated and misunderstood a lot.
