Pros
Flexible schedule, higher rate of pay then you would generally make as an EMT on a rig (until you take into account all your personal expenses, insurance, etc., that is).
Cons
The owner is absolutely horrific. He is unprofessional and inappropriate. There is high turnover at his company for many reasons. You have to buy all of your supplies yourself, plus pay for your own malpractice insurance. You are also responsible for your own taxes. And you will not be paid timely, if at all. The owner goes on vacation for a month every year. During that time, he doesn't cut checks, but still expects people to work for him. He harasses you other times when you ask to be paid even when he's in the state. Other companies provide your supplies, pay you timely, cover your insurance, and treat you with respect. Not here.
