There's so many things wrong:
There's no real career growth and there's just so many things unclear internally. No central system set up to work so no visibility and so you never know what's going on with what . No proper onboarding and no clear communication structure either, you have to ask around to get insights. People that has been there for a long time is more due to comfort rather than value.
Leadership feels like they're ''figuring it out'' instead of having an actual plan because they haven't collect real data on all of these years. Their decision to let go people are based more on a ''gut feeling'' than actual evidence and blame it on the people instead of their own lack of proper training and resources.
