Pros

Not many. Coworkers can be fun if the owner is in a good mood.

Cons

Owner is not a good person. Nepotism. Almost no guidance. A lot of time wasted on daily meetings and filling out mostly useless items. Insists certain customers are incompetent rather than looking deeper into their problems. No room for advancement. Company is in an over saturated market and is too small to compete long term (no job security). Owner has no problem demeaning you in front of others. Borderline hostile work environment. Pay is OK until you consider the atmosphere. Constantly trying to hire people because no one lasts very long. Stay away.

Pros

Learning, good management, super fun. Great culture, enjoy coming in. Well organized and open to new ideas. Been at Blacktip for over 7 years and I've always been encouraged to grow. Culture is super fun and the owner is funny and experienced. We have little jokes here and there and the work is really straightforward. We are all invited to work on anything and everything so everyone can learn and grow. The company is very structured, but that is how it has remained efficient and consistent for a long time. Easy hours, not on call, not 24/7. Highly recommend.

Cons

Not really, everything is pretty chill here. I've been here for a while - about half of the company's lifetime.

Pros

Pay is good for Level 1 and 2 support issues

Cons

This is a small team environment and unfortunately works against you as there is a good amount of Micromanaging and undermining the team by the owner. Things experienced on the job to be aware of: 1. Owner admitted to being impatient in interview 2. Lots of micromanagement during the day for the entire small team 3. Yelling/screaming regulalry from owner when losing temper. 4. Lots of standups and told where to stand and no moving or shaking feet or swaying. 5. Team on pins and needles and owner doesn't like it when someone gets sick. Called one employee vulgar name in a meeting after they went home sick. 6. Constant arguing with daughter who works in the office. 7. Owner sends teams messages to group while you are working with a client on a ticket and doesn't allow time to complete without giving critical feedback. (Make sure your ticket is named correctly and spelled correctly or you will be reprimanded before closing the ticket) 8. Making gay jokes to office workers where you are expected to go along and laugh to agree with owner. 9. You are not permitted to tap foot or move legs during sit down meetings. Owner can see through the glass table and will stop and correct your behavior by telling you to keep your feet flat on floor. 10. This is an easy job but the owner makes it complicated and stressful for team.
