Pros

Location. There is not anything else I can really think of that is a Pro for this company. They need to fix things soon!

Cons

Where to begin??? There is no work life balance. VP’s are uninformed/uninvolved and do not support staff. Not making our numbers means there will be more job eliminations in December. Systems don’t talk to each other and there is too much work for too few people.

I wanted to reach out and let you know that we are listening! While many of us at Blackhawk work very hard (and sometimes, long hours), I have to disagree in that we do provide opportunity for work-life balance, including generous PTO, sick leave, paid time off for volunteering, and maternity/paternity leave, to name just a few benefits. We also enjoy events where we can bring our families to work, including Bring Your Kids to Work Day and Hawk-O-Ween. The health and wellness of our employees is very important to us, and that is why we offer our team members access to gym facilities, on-site health fairs, and contests such as Take the Stairs Day. I would also like to point out that we do not support bribing our employees to leave good reviews for Blackhawk. While we do encourage our team to leave feedback on our company on Glassdoor and other social media channels, we do not attempt to influence their reviews and welcome both positive and negative reviews as I believe this helps us to become a better company.

Good management, bonus opportunities, training

Cons

The pay is low. Staffing isn’t enough to meet workload, no performance based raises for entry level employees, and very few promotions available
