If your role has any coordination or connection to the sales side of the house, I highly recommend seeking other opportunities. You'll find extended hours, a lack of resources, and an all "stick" and no "carrot" approach. Combine that with a company-wide policy of low salaries, low bonuses, adverse commission structures, and virtually no opportunities for promotion; you'll find your self stuck in a dead end job. Rookie management is an issue across the organization and it often feels like you're treated as "work robots" instead of humans. This comes mainly in the form of intense micro-management, down to the number of minutes you spend on the phone and number of emails you send (regardless of performance). There is no accountability back to upper management. If a product fails to sell, the goals are set too high or the entire company has a bad quarter, you'll find the lowest positions on the totem pole feeling the brunt of name-calling, yelling and, at worst, object throwing. A good comparison is the classic Amazon work environment but with none of the benefits.
