Pros
BioControl Systems (BCS) provides one of the last few "stable" biotech companies to work for. While the big guys are laying off, and disappearing, BCS offers 25++ years of solid ground to stand on. Many employees here are long-time employees, demonstrating that people here are given the opportunity to make lifetime careers. Salaries at BCS are more than fair. While other industries are putting freezes on wage, BCS had given merit raises each year that I have been here. Despite not having the perks of some of the bigger players, the owners do make efforts to reward employees with fun company events and generous gifts during the holidays. Additionally, BCS makes very charitable donations in honor of the employees here, sharing the successes of the company in an effort to help the less fortunate. Benefits are good, and executives offer more than fair retirement and medical benefits. When you come to BCS you will be expected to give it your all. Dedication to the job and wearing many hats is a must.
Cons
Is this s con? Communication here is very blunt and can sometimes be abrasive. Be prepared to hear it (and tell it) like it is.
