Pros
Very thorough and organized leadership and structure. The QA department sets the standard because they take being FDA compliant really seriously. I’m a big energy reader and the vibe was always good here in my opinion. (I don’t know for ‘ladder climbers’ though cause I wasn’t trying to climb ladders or get promoted or attention just being myself and doing my job.) Lunch hall is pretty top notch with even vegan options. My attention to detail skills were put to good use so I felt needed, productive and fulfilled. Co workers are friendly. No one was mean or rude which I value because it’s all I’ve experienced in past work environments. There were optional team building activities and community oriented bosses which I thought was thoughtful! I felt consistently encouraged by my leadership and the trainers actually care about you. I also didn’t feel micro managed so it was great balance. People were friendly from different departments. Felt like one huge team. (Building is really new and big)
Cons
The hours: they just switched to 24 hours. Not all departs switched to 24 hours but I was. They have 6pm-6am 4 days on 3 days off and 3 days on 4 days off. Great for traveling 4 days in a row etc. I was 6pm to 6am. I willingly chose it and learned later. It was really tough for me personally. Held out as long as I could. The temperature. To me it was freezing. Half of my coworkers disagreed and half of them were cold like me. You can layer up under the scrubs you have to wear though. I would wear the clean room lab coasts they provided but they were pretty thin obviously. I heard the temperature had to be regulated to keep the product correct or something. Makes sense to me. Just that between missing the sunshine and being up at night and then trying to block out the sun to sleep during the day and also being cold a lot I somehow reactivated a right shoulder injury from my previous job. Made it so painful to work. Also some how my digestion went awol. My body just started yelling at me so I had to leave. I know people who still work there and love it. I think if I picked a different schedule, the day schedule my body would have been a bit happier with me and I’d still be there. Still hands down the most solid adult job I’ve had yet!
