Pros

The opportunity for personal and professional growth is BioConnect's greatest attribute. Regardless of age, background or what function you enter the company it provides the opportunity for you to perform and create your own future opportunities. Creativity and challenging conventional truths/beliefs is encouraged and rewarded. The work culture and interpersonal culture is at the heart of BioConnect's appeal. The work is not easy and because it is a growing, small company sometimes the sands can shift underfoot. But it is a great place to come to work every day. Getting to know and spend time with colleagues across all functions is a key building block in creating and maintaining this culture. Saying you are trying to change the world can sound cliche but we're really trying to do it!

Cons

BioConnect is a small, quickly growing company. That means change and pivots in focus can seem constant. The path can seem straight and smooth one month and twisty and bumpy the next. No organization or company is free of stress and BioConnect is no different. The work ethic and commitment expectations are high.

Thank you for your review. Indeed we are growing and that means lots of change but always with the best of intentions. Maintaining the excellent culture we have will never be a second priority - just as it sits as the top priority for the CEO, it is first of mind with all BioConnectors. And it's not cliche, we are really changing the world, one identity at a time!

Pros

Some of the people are quite nice and friendly. Office location is good thou the office itself is just OK. Salary compensation is decent, not competitive but acceptable.

Cons

The workplace relies heavily on outdated technology and methods. Development planning is controlled by product management, which in turn is heavily influenced by Sales. Sales dictates the priorities across the board. The atmosphere varies among colleagues—some are friendly, others distant, and a few seem to be gathering information for potentially negative purposes. Departments outside of Sales are notably understaffed. Access to information is limited, knowledge is fragmented among different groups, and collaboration tends to be transactional, often contingent on immediate benefits unless directly overseen by management. This environment may not be suitable for those interested in working with cutting-edge technology or modern methodologies. In a security company context, much of the security responsibility falls on a single individual who already juggles multiple roles within the organization. The company culture & management discourages showing any signs of struggling mental health, and individuals risk repercussions, including termination, for displaying signs of weakness or vulnerability. Paid time off (PTO) and sick leave policies are inadequate. There is significant dissatisfaction stemming from the CEO's strong opposition to remote work.
