Pros

Can’t think of a single pro, maybe the fact that you can work from home

Cons

This place is toxic. Please don’t ruin your career by joining this company. The product rarely works. The founders have never run a business before, they are very immature and unprofessional. There’s so much gossip, tons of turnover, and a horrible reputation in the marketplace. Don’t be swayed by the leadership team that left positive reviews to offset the bad rating, which should tell you everything you need to know. The company operates on lies. There is absolutely no growth. It’s a tremendous failure across the board. Please, please, stay away.

Pros

The company still has a small engineering team, so there are tons of opportunities to work on different types of different problems. - Scalability problems? Check - Rapid product development? Check - Distributed computing problems? Check The engineering team has great talent from some very large name brand companies (Uber, Amazon, etc) and has a very collaborative culture where there is no fear of bringing out of the box ideas to the table or experimenting and trying out ideas. I really do think this is a great place to work for engineers who are self-motivated, like to ship things and make an impact, and who want to do so in a friendly environment with great engineers to serve as sounding boards for ideas, code review, guidance, jokes, etc. As an aside, there is also a great worklife balance at Bigeye, they are quite generous with the number of vacation days in the vacation policy.

Cons

It's a work remote company. This can be a huge plus for some, it can be a minus for others, but it is something to mention if working on a remote team is not for you.
