Pros

Big Red Rooster (JLL) is a highly creative and driven team with an exceptional client base. If you are motivated to succeed, you can pave your own success.

Cons

As with any client-service role, there is a constant juggling act to manage client and team expectations. Learning to harness the natural tension to drive creative output will pay off.

Pros

What drew me to BRR was the idea of collaboration and combining business ideas with creativity. I was also asked to “change up” the way the company approached problems and bring ideas that would streamline business processes (e.g., outsourcing and multiple billing rates.) The previous work done by BRR was also considered excellent by former colleagues of mine.

Cons

From a cultural standpoint, employees are paranoid and not willing to share or collaborate for fear of worth to the firm. Staff is non-trusting of others outside of established peer groups. Veteran employees in design and business claim ignorance to what is going on or are not willing to share experiences. I was hired quickly for a major client and after three months when the project did not “wow” this major CPG company, I was considered a big part of the failure. Unbeknownst to me, my replacement was selected (a friend of the owner) while I was on a planned family vacation. Up to the point of my termination, there was no feedback on my performance, even though I asked (my manager or who I assumed was my manager) on several occasions.
