Pros
Staff gets a discount on rentals.
Cons
Despite this being the events industry- this is a terrible place to work. The warehouse management is very hostile and very aggressive towards staff and the owner and other managers won't do any thing about it. Everyone is always working on pins and needles afraid they're about to get fired. The staff is miserable but management won't do anything to boost morale. There is go room for growth because they don't spend any time developing staff. They'll just fire them so it's a revolving door. Some staff hardly ever answers the phones unless the owner is walking by. If they see that you didn't pick up the phone the one time they walk by, even though you've answered most of the calls that day, they'll get mad. You have to log every single call, there's proof! There is no accountability system in place and the work load is completely unfair. There are no incentives for up selling. They don't take feed back from staff at all bc it's just a revolving door and they don't value their emplyees. When a mistake is made, everyone just plays the blame game instead of evaluating processes. Their processes are ANCIENT and still manual so there is a ton of room for human mistakes. And if the manager is the one wrong, they will never ever own up to it. There are simple things they could put in place to give the staff the tools they need to do their job successfully but they simply don't care.
It's very hard to work around people who hate their job and hate doing what they were hired to do. But again, management does not care. They'll just bring in new people.
There are some great people there but they're taken advantage of. They purposely hire people pleasers (to have to take a personality assessment) because they know they can take advantage of them and they won't say anything.
