Pros
Hard pressed to find pros at this point, maybe that it’s a flexible hybrid environment. But for every one person who embraces flexibility, there is one old white guy who says “I think we just work better in person” and boomers that nod in agreement because they’re scared.
Cons
As a whole, Betty doesn’t treat their people well. Pay is low based on standards, the systems are archaic, leadership spends all the money sending themselves to Cannes or PR while the people who are actually doing the work are getting paid the minimum. There is no culture, just a disconnected leadership team that rattles off inspirational quotes or Merriam Webster dictionary words every week. There isn’t much of a creative opportunity, we have a lot of meetings about meetings and everyone is just scared and stressed all the time. The entire account team is just full of a palpable fear. They don’t even really know what they’re doing they and the PMs are glorified meeting schedulers. Especially the culture on the United healthcare team. It’s all just people who are scared of their leadership and just bend over backwards for their clients with no respect for their actual teammates. A bunch of robots.
