During the second interview with upper management, the interviewer spoke down to me a lot. I thought I don't want to work for them. Then two months later they made an offer? So then I said why not? I won't deal with that guy on a daily basis. Bad decision by me. About two weeks into working there the big boss would call me up and say I was incompetent and I did not know what I was doing. I've been an engineer for many decades now. The person I reported directly to was a cool person at first. Then would Zoom and say stuff such as "We aren't getting our money's worth from you." Or "You don't know what you are doing". Or scream loudly at me on a Zoom call with about a dozen people and then another 24 people (mostly external) to shut up. Very condescending, demeaning, and insulting. How to make a very experienced person feel irrelevant. Not a good way to manage a department. Maybe another department with different people would have been good? Maybe not? One very experienced person I worked with at another aerospace company was treated worse. I'll let him add his review. He was an expert in system engineering. I supported his department at the other bigger company. Must be great to have the luxury to talk down to experts in their field. I assume we are a dime a dozen? Too patronizing for me. And I almost quit a few times. Their loss, not mine.
