Pros
Great discount, lots of areas to work in, often fast-paced, great way to introduce yourself to the world of retail and gain customer service skills, plenty of hours to work (especially if people call out), lots of great co-workers and excellent accommodations.
Cons
Customers can be downright abusive and management will almost always take their side to save a sale. Management very often picks favorites, lots of micromanagement (do as I say, not as I do mentality), very little opportunities to get training, and when that time comes, rush through presentations to hit management's deadlines and get back on the floor (makes it hard to retain information), very often understaffed and it is unofficially frowned upon to call out, take a vacation or even decline picking up someone else's shift, very little incentives for sales associates, management will tell you to tell customers that the surveys are to help "associates" when in actuality, it's so management can get quarterly bonuses. Sales goals are absolutely toxic, are often unrealistic and forces associates to prey on clientele to get credit card apps and talk like a script.
