Pros

Bestbuy was a great company to work for while it lasted. You work with a lot of different people, but all of my teammates were really great people. The only thing that I miss is the employee discount.

Cons

As a sales associate its definitely not a long term job. I did not see much advancement within the company besides being a manager. Low wages and bonus structure was non existent.

Pros

Best Buy was arguably my best job I’ve ever worked. The work environment is fun, the recognition from the company is great, you feel connected to your peers, sales is emphasized but not forced down your throat. The customers were overall pleasant. You get your upset people as with any other company but Best Buy there was not much room for disappointment. The growth was there if you want it.

Cons

The pay is not a livable wage past a certain point. With kids and bills I unfortunately had to leave. Growing within Best Buy is kind of a who you know situation. While not horrible, it’s discouraging, or can be rather.

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
