Pros

New Technology...best buy discount has downgraded recently but still not bad.

Cons

Worked three stores, all management cared about was attaching services like protection plans and credit cards and you were scolded if you didn't. Management stands around and looks for problems to discipline you on. Customers can be ultra stupid...you are standing in cell phones department and they scold you on why you don't know anything about

If you start out on registers up front it can be difficult to learn on the floor and find a department especially if you are not selling enough credit cards and memberships

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
