Pros
Many Jewish holidays off, owners are nice people, decent licenses to work on, some talented and nice people work here. Can't think of anything else positive to say.
Cons
Bentex art department is about as unpleasant a work environment as it could get. It's all doom and gloom from morning til night. They have stripped away any enjoyment an artist could get from this job. Many artists come and go because management makes it impossible to succeed. Management redoes artists artwork without bothering to tell them or give any constructive criticism leaving artists feeling frustrated and confused. No direction is given, but if you dare have your own creative ideas you will be torn down and humiliated in front of everyone. Better leave your creativity and ideas at the door because they are not welcome in this place. Instead copying and recreating the same look day in and day out is all you will be allowed to do. You must announce when you're taking lunch only to get a grunt of dissatisfaction back from management. You can work hard, work late and it still won't be good enough. Lots of petty gossip all day long in a tiny depressing and cramped room. The room is supposed to fit about 6 people they crammed in 14. Of course if you're managements beloved family member you'll be treated like gold while everyone else will be treated like they are doing something wrong all the time. Management won't speak to you at all, instead they'll grunt at you and make annoyed faces and of course gossip behind your back to owners. It's a truly awful environment. Screaming and yelling and brutal gossip is the norm. This is a revolving door for a reason. This company has no HR so people are allowed to act in any manner they wish, and know they won't have to deal with consequences of their actions. There are a few good people who work in the department but it isn't enough. This design department is rotten and I would NOT recommend a job there to anyone. Also have to log in and out every day no matter what. They have no HR to talk to but they do have hounds that come after employees if they don't remember to log in and out every day.
