Pros
BeneStream is a quickly growing startup that tries to improve the lives of the working poor in America. I love coming to work every day because my colleagues are smart, engaged, and committed to the same cause as me. We are building a new type of anti-poverty program, which means that every day is different, and there are a lot of unanswered questions. To me, that's a huge part of the fun. On top of that, I genuinely like hanging out with my colleagues, and we have a fun, informal work environment. Finally, we are very focused on promoting from within, and there are lots of opportunities for growth for people who are proactive about their work.
Cons
There was a period when our roles and our overall company organizational structure were not well defined. This can cause some stress, when you don't know what your job duties are or how you can be helpful to the company. I think we are getting better at this, and I also understand this is part of a startup culture.
