Pros

Standard Medical Benefits, Standard Disability, Lower range 401k Match. At one time, this place paid very well, had nice raises, and a yearly bonus to make up for the Cons and low starting wage, but that is no longer the case. New ranges are still competitive, but do not make up for the number and type of Cons. Use this job as a stepping stone to a better company after a cycle or two.

Cons

Zero Training Programs for new hires. Find a way to swim in the ocean, or be minimized and eventually downsized. Zero work-life balance. You will be expected to work way more than a standard 40hrs/wk here. Global footprint with skeleton crew that only permits US based employees to make major changes. You will be expected to attend meetings outside your time zone. Experienced talent, Conform to the way this company does things or be minimized and eventually down-sized. Make waves or suggest processes are inefficient or flat out wrong....minimized and downsized. Employee revolving door. There have been several mass layoffs over the years and several group walkouts in my time here. The most recent being a 10% overall reduction in workforce this past year. Untrustworthy/Ad-Hoc HR (owned by C-Suite; not really employee advocate). Blatant favoritism. Policies are implemented on a whim at the direction of C-Suite, rarely last any substantial length of time, and are mostly held when the company gets sued for something. Anonymous surveys are analyzed to determine the submitter of critical responses. I have known 5 different Global heads of HR while working here. C-Suite has and does verbally abuse employees in public and in front of other employees. Cycle review process has no rubric. Promotions and salary increases are determined by popularity with CEO, C-Suite, and direct manager. All increases/promotions are personally approved by CEO. If you are not promoted each review, that is a bad sign. From top to bottom, there are 15+ "bands" to work through in terms of progression before you hit C-Suite. Company Vision/Workflow ADHD. Entire team will reorg at least once per year to justify raises and title changes. Aging Tech - SaaS products are written in ColdFusion. Underlying hardware is failure prone. Internal Tools are terrible.

Pros

Technology/product was ok, able to do customizations

Cons

Toxic work culture, period. Leadership demanded so much and were condescending that affected employee morale. There were only a couple managers that were great to work with. It was very micromanaging that you had to use a certain font style and color for your emails. They change the company name every few years and focus on non-important items. It’s sad because the company could be good with different leadership. Work life balance is also a struggle. Your mental health can take a beating.
