Pros
The individual contributors and day-to-day teams are exceptional. You get to work with incredibly talented, skillful, and collaborative people who truly keep the wheels turning and make the daily environment tolerable.
Cons
The leadership team, particularly the CEO, lacks a clear vision for the company. The product strategy is reactive rather than proactive; the roadmap changes constantly. Teams frequently grind to hit tight deadlines, only for the project to be abandoned weeks later for the next new product. There is a severe lack of product definition—management demands new products without knowing what they actually want them to do. Three consecutive years of layoffs are a direct result of this poor strategic planning, which is incredibly disheartening given the raw talent of the workforce.
