Pros
I like that I set my own work load and am respected for my decisions. This creates a feeling of wanting to work, but not unnecessarily stressing my performance—I end up doing a lot, and feeling like I own my work and am part of an organization that's really striving to build a great thing and have a friendly environment for its employees. I'm not micro-managed, but if I need HR or information from anyone in the company it's available. There's a real passion displayed for the things that people do, and a lot of humble expertise as well. I keep learning a lot. It was a bit of a risk, but I left a job I really liked because of how much I jelled with the founders. So far I'm glad I did as I am much more directly impacting my end product.
Cons
The current office on 5th avenue is probably too small for the amount of people in it currently, though the location is good. The ethnic, gender and age diversity is not very good, though it's a small tech company so I'd imagine this is likely to change, and not particularly a bias in hiring choices but rather a bias in qualified candidates who apply.
