Pros

Salaried position based on work targets with some benefits. Low overhead, and it shows.

Cons

Physician Beware of this organization. Read contract carefully and consult an attorney before signing. There is a 3 month 20% salary holdback of earned income that is given back to the physician several times a year if the physician meets the productivity goals; Management has the audacity to call this a "Bonus," when it is money that was earned by the employee and not paid out in a timely manner. Pay is at about the 25 percentile of national standards; but they deny it and refuse to benchmark against national standards. Antiquated Homegrown Electronic Medical Record that is prone to computer crashes (Astonishingly, you still have to fill out paper bubble sheets for billing!). Poor morale of employees (examples include toxic Area Coordinators; random reassignments; poor, if any cross training; marginal pay and benefits compared to other employers; insignificant staff recognition for good performance (staff get occasional suckers and lollipops for good performance (not making that up). Management considers holidays that fall on weekends to be the Holiday day off!) Ancient and embarrassingly filthy workspace and equipment. Solid rumor is that a senior female physician actually had to break down in tears in front of management to acquire a needed piece of replacement patient care equipment. Restrictive covenant is strictly enforced even after contract is over because the contract self renews; this is something hidden in the contract, so read carefully before signing. Malpractice coverage includes NO TAIL; that means a large payout; can be as much as $20,000 in order to leave and continue working at another place.
