Pros

Most practices have lovely patients.....unfortunately they are slowly leaving due to our poor service and high prices. Store staff are wonderful, such a shame so many are leaving or placed under huge amounts of stress.

Cons

Unrealistic targets, the aim is purely to sell sell sell with no regard for px care or circumstance. Like to preach about having 45 min appointments for px's. Fail to mention that if you are a child, a recheck or need a CL check this is actually only 15 mins. Unbelievable stress day to day, most of which is due to very poor company organisation and communication. 30 mins for lunch- unlucky for you if your clinic runs late and you get 5 mins. Company like to talk about being a family- we are anything but.

Pros

Working as an Appointment Booking Advisor at Bayfield's Opticians has been a genuinely great experience. From day one, the training provided was supportive and straight forward, making it easy to build confidence in handling client enquiries and managing bookings efficiently. The role can be varied and you do feel a sense of recognition in regards to feedback which becomes more relevant in a 121 or performance reviews. At this stage in time the appointment booking centre is everchanging and aiming to recruit more staff with regards to meeting demand therefore there will always be a learning period for newer employees. This is expected and does improve with time and confidence. Overall, it’s a great place to work if you enjoy customer interaction, being part of a supportive team, and making a positive difference to client experiences.

Cons

With regards to Cons nothing can be perfect or tailor made to suit a specific persons needs however being said segments of the business can feel like separate entities making it difficult to establish strong working relationships with colleagues that do not work in the head office. It can also at times feel that the work being done is not always fully taken into account by other areas of the business however the pros do outweigh this.
