I worked with a few nice people (now left) but aside from that, none. Staff are 'asked' to leave positive reviews on here as a PR stunt

I have many years recruitment experience and this place was the worst time of my working career. Ruled by fear, no staff benefits, had to 'scan in and out' and your were docked pay for being slightly late, long work days, no breaks, no time allowed for doctors or dentist, ran like a 1920's sweat shop. No respect for employees or candidates, no training, very old database, no trust, no client base. Just an awful place with no culture other than fear

Slightly higher base salary compared to competitors but comes at the expense of your sanity

Cons

I’ve never worked anywhere that destroyed my mental health as much as this company. You will get told by managers that we shouldn’t complain as they pay a slightly higher base salary than other companies in the area. When asking for help, the only advice is “just keep going”. Strange office culture where there is a divide between the upstairs and downstairs of the office. Expected to work long extra hours outside of your contracted hours for no additional pay. Frowned upon if you leave at 5 pm (as your contract states) and comments will be made if you do, despite the fact that you have a work phone that you are expected to answer 24/7 anyway. I was sold a dream of success but left almost in tears every day despite having previous experience in this field, They claim you will get the support you need but when asking for help, you will be made to feel like you’re being difficult. Work life Balance is none existent so forget about that. I can’t advise you strong enough to avoid this horrendous company! Do not let them sell you a dream, as they are desperate to replace the staff that are leaving. I promise you that it’s not worth it!

When recruiting at Account Manager level, Baxter Personnel have a strict policy of recruiting candidates that have no prior experience working in our field. You are aware of this as you came through that process without any recruitment experience. During the recruitment process it is made clear to all applicants that the recruitment industry, particularly one operating in the FMCG sector is incredibly fast paced, competitive and at times stressful due to the extremely time sensitive nature of client labour requests. However, It is also very rewarding in many ways for people that wish to carve out a career in our industry. We believe that we make this as clear as we possibly can during the hiring process. We do not shy away or try and hide in anyway the nature of the work you are being interviewed for. We have a very proud track record of hiring and developing a great number of people within our organisation this way. Unfortunately, on this occasion it didn’t work out for either of us. This is certainly not the outcome we wanted as it is our firm belief that in order to continue to grow as a business the more people we can develop professionally the stronger both parties will be.
