Pros
Lots of autonomy, smart and good people who treat each other respectfully. Global firm and each location has its own culture and vibe. High but reasonable standards. Exciting to be at a multi-stage investment firm that has had a long history of success.
Cons
Firm decisions are made by the general partnership, so change is slow to occur and decision-making is tops-down. There is a divide between operations and investment sides of the business, but that is typical of any VC or PE firm. Senior leadership cares about employees and maintaining a positive culture, but some of the general partners could make more of an effort to show up for firm culture building events to practice what they preach. Cash comp is a bit lower than market for many roles, but the equity component is pretty attractive.
