Pros
There are a number of talented people but middle managers are will try to keep people from succeeding, threatened by any success not directly connected to them. Zero leadership in this regard.
Cons
The organization takes on work they have no business of taking on because they don't know how to do it and because there is no recognition of enterprise-related systems that should be in place. Many people have worked here so long they don't realize there are better and more efficient ways to do things. It's a sad little bubble of people who haven't been anywhere else. Instead of touting their philanthropy, they should consider extending those gains to employees. However, although they espouse a "we're in this for the good of mankind", they're in it to make $. EXTREMELY stingy with holidays -- not even the standard US government 10 days/year, even though they are largely a government contractor. Middle management is pathetic and ill-equipped to manage, with no tolerance for any "dissent", even if it's presented for improvement of the organization. They excel at both a lack of feedback and availability.
