When I first came on board with the company's office in Arlington, VA, it was a much different place from what it is now. The focus seemed to be more on taking care of people and, as a non-profit company, less on the skullduggery one might expect from 'for profit' companies. Unfortunately, as time went by and I had the opportunity to peer behind the veil, I found that staff members MUST ingratiate themselves to Management in order to have any hopes of moving up. It is favoritism that will get you places, not merit.
