Today, I was fired. After barely 2 mos on the job. Never had a one on one review. Team lead always told me “you are doing fine! Accuracy 1st, speed will come later. It’s not easy”. .....monitors have TONS of artifact in scanning, making it very difficult to interpret. I even recommended to mgmt seeking better contact adhesive by a firm that mfgs EKG patches local to me, to help out with this issue. I was ignored. Training for new Monarch system was horrible: 1 day, 5 hrs. And “here you go”. Expert Analysis Team reviews new tech scans, and gives snarky comments with feedback. Bottom line: this company grew too fast/too quickly and acts as if their protocols (which are confusing at best) need “no explanation” except are met with the attitude “Because Dr. Gust Bardy said so”. So I guess my 30+ years of calling out Atrial Tachycardias were all wrong!?! I don’t think so.
