Pros
Some of the people were great, decent benefits
Cons
Where to even start… nepotism runs rampant in this company, I think that’s the core of their bigger issues. Longtime friends and family members are given management positions that should really be filled by more qualified candidates. I had 3 different managers for the same role in my first 6 months with the company, one of whom (and by far the least qualified) was the CEOs stepson. Management is unorganized and doesn’t communicate well. They would openly disagree with each other and be clearly misaligned in team meetings. Teams were very silo’d and would only learn important info from talking with each other, not from management. For a tech company, there was also a severe lack of product management. No one seemed to be able to answer questions or have ownership of the numerous large partnerships the company was profiting from consumers on. The mandated RTO was a turnoff, especially given that some team members were still fully remote. And of course the pay was low (for non-engineer roles), especially for the unnecessarily stressful day-to-day due to bad management. My stress decreased and quality of life increased significantly after I left, even with a bit of a pay cut.
