Pros
- Caring audit partners - Disconnect days - Unlimited PTO policy (audit senior = 5 weeks ish) - Great benefits (401K match, company perks, chance to travel, gym membership, student loan help, childcare assistance to a point, mental health perks, etc.) - Phenominal training (lunch and learns, firm-wide CPE, great managers) - Ability to learn a lot of different industries and work with large companies
Cons
- Stressful busy season hours (but that's normal in public accounting) 55 hr/ minimums expected January - April. - Got emails on maintaining 40 hr min. during off season which was impossible to do - Unable to chose industry until at least manager level - Project management challenges given the system doesn't align well for audits that start/stop/extend longer than what's pre-set in Power BI, etc. - Hard push on EBP audits in the summer (Plano office) - Didin't get to work with any non-profits (none in TX office)
