Cons
Everything else. You apply for a job where you’re told you’ll be there to help customers All you do is get told off for not having impeccable stats and threatened with disciplinaries for not using their awful systems You’d think a telecommunications company would be able to create a system for tracking and fixing orders instead of relying on their “consumer workspace” which means you have no more than 10 seconds once a customer hangs up before you go into your next call No time to write notes No chance to breathe and get yourself ready We can no longer chase orders with suppliers Which means customers are calling and we are literally told to advise them someone will be in touch Forced to raise and close complaints without customers knowledge or consent They claim they care about your mental health when they’ll call you every day if you go on sick asking when you’re coming back in The managers are all up their own bums and think they rule the roost because they’re a step above advisers. Never used to be like that but that’s what it’s like. Even people coming on as cover managers end up treating their own colleagues like dirt Oh and did I mention they record your screens all day now? So any messages you send to colleagues via the instant messaging are on record and they can micro manage your every move “I can see you were off a call for 6 minutes here…” “I can see you DIDNT use xxx system properly on this call” and you have no choice but to let them walk all over you cause of the salary. I also heard transphobic comments, racist comments and sexist comments from the TLs but you can’t do anything about it cause the CCMs don’t care.
