Pros

The line-level/floor associates who work at the hotels are the only positive side of this company, but this gives no credit to Corporate as they are not actively involved in the properties they own and operate.

Cons

Unethical. Extremely poor budgeting and overall poor management of the company. Corporate is so disconnected from the people who actually run and work in their hotels. Try to think about the employees who bend over backwards for your company, yet barely make a livable wage. Leadership at the top really has no idea how to do their jobs, and rely on lower associates to advise them on how to do their jobs; yet, they provide no credit to the people who do the actual work. This creates and extremely bad culture and moral among employees that work for your company. They continuously promote people who have no business being in their position, this alone is a liability.

Pros

The company is growing, and with that comes an increase in jobs. Also, over the last few years, the executive team has been starting to try to create a culture across the entire portfolio. Turnover seems to be slowing down recently, but we have already lost a lot of great people.

Cons

Bigger properties have higher priority, and the small hotels get neglected. They say they're "scrappy" but they really mean they're cheap. Those who work in the home office do not make any effort to visit the properties on a regular basis (those who work on-property have no idea who these people are and what they do). I've felt extremely underappreciated, underpaid and overworked in all the positions I've had during my time with BPR, and it gets much worse when you move from non-exempt to exempt. It seems that more effort is going into growing their portfolio than upkeeping the properties they already have, and nearly all their smaller properties need attention badly.
