      Pros

      It was very easy to work there. Most of the people were nice. Sometimes you would get free food.

      Cons

      They pay is very weak compared to other companies. Typically you move up based on years with company instead of based on skill level.

      Pros

      Work life balance is good for the most part.

      Cons

      Everyone in upper management (including our CEO) has come from JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs while employees who have worked at BNY for 20+ years are not being chosen for promotion opportunities. Looking to juniorize the company yet give zero training and support for analysts starting out. The culture has completely changed over the last few years, looks like a different company.
